As Topspin continues to get set up for a big 2010, we’re proud to announce the addition of Andrew Mains to our team. Andrew joined Topspin’s executive team as VP Artist Relations and Services two weeks ago, started inhabiting my office (the one office with a door) in Santa Monica with me, checked out with the flu for a week, then gave the flu to both Bob Moz and me. But that’s only the beginning, right Andrew?!

Andrew has been consulting with Topspin for more than a year, as well as with friends of Topspin such as Mobile Roadie, artists, and others. Until 2007 Andrew was the Head of New Media at our friends and neighbors, Interscope Records.

We’re excited to have Andrew on board working with Brad Barrish to help artists of all shapes and sizes find their way on to the Topspin platform, working with artists, managers, labels, distributors, and Gary Brotman’s artist services team as they make $$ for artists and create incredible showcases of direct-to-fan marketing and retail, helping Peter Brambl make sure the world is full of people who know how to use the Topspin platform (through our in-house training program as well as external programs such as the course at Berklee), helping Shamal with expansion into Europe in 2010, working with Bob and Kris to make sure the Topspin platform does what artists need it to do, and working with Jan on the deals which will help our platform grow. It’s a big and important role and we’re excited to have Andrew dedicated to the task.
