Cover Story: Band of Horses & Cee Lo

BOH header
Sometimes, an unlikely combination can produce amazing results.  Like this one time, when I dipped a french fry in ice cream — friggin’ delicious!  Well, in another instance of tasty flavor combos, Cee Lo and Band of Horses have just released covers of each others’ tracks on a split 7″ record.  BOH (feat. the University of Georgia’s Redcoat Marching Band) offers a rocking interpretation of Cee Lo’s “Georgia” from his upcoming album The Ladykiller, while the inimitable Mr. Green gives his soulful treatment to “No One’s Gonna Love You” from BOH’s 2007 breakthrough record Cease To Begin.

Click here to order.  The BOH song is available digitally, but you’ve gotta get the vinyl if you wanna hear Cee Lo’s track.  You can also snag a t-shirt and a ticket to BOH’s 10/30 show at the Fox Theater in Atlanta GA.

“Georgia” (the BOH version) just started spinning on Atlanta radio stations yesterday.  Word about the split-7″ is beginning to spread, so snag yourself a copy before they’re all gone.  And seriously, try that french-fry-and-ice-cream trick.  You’ll thank me later.
