We just launched several exciting updates to our software! Take a gander..
Streaming Players
We are thrilled to announce a long-awaited upgrade to our Streaming Players. It includes a complete visual overhaul, as well as the re-introduction of the embed feature, and fixes for image slideshows. Check it out:
These changes have been applied across all streaming players. Images are now centered and the zoomed to their narrowest dimension; this is far more intuitive than the previous method, and is also how the video player sizes videos to fit the screen.
When the widget is moused-over, a big friendly call-to-action button appears at the top, and sharing functions are always visible. When a user clicks Play and moves their mouse away from the widget, the buttons disappear, providing a clean, sleek user experience.
Playlists have been revamped as well. An arrow button shows & hides the playlist. If the playlist is visible, it will remain visible when you move your mouse off the player (even though the Share buttons disappear). By default the playlist is minimized when the widget loads, but we will soon allow you to initialize your widgets with the playlist open.
Soon, you will also have the ability to skin your player, so you’ll be able to apply a custom design to the buttons & playlist.
The Single Track Player also received a major facelift. We have a couple things to tweak still (i.e. share buttons can’t be hidden at the moment, and if you don’t have a call-to-action, there is some empty space), but that will all be in place soon as well.
New Color in StoreBuilder
We’ve added a new Custo Color setting in StoreBuilder called “Description Text”. It will change the color of the product title & descriptive text on the Details page for your store offers. It also affects the text of emails that are auto-generated by your Topspin account (ex: the confirmation message that’s sent by your Email For Media widget). It’s yet another added level of customization for your store.
Sale End Date for Tickets
The Sale End Date on tickets can now be edited after you create & save the product. Previously, this date was set in stone after a ticket was created. We’ve now made it so you can edit this information at any time.
We Want Your Feedback
In addition to these nifty upgrades, we’ve also placed a feedback tab inside of Topspin. Currently, it can be found in your Dashboard. It looks like this:

Next time you’re in Topspin, please take a second (literally, one single second) to respond. We always appreciate your feedback! Watch for more of these survey tabs with different questions to pop up in Topspin over the coming weeks & months. Thanks!

Hi guys,
A really great update which I think has some killer new features.
Just wondering if you’ll make an update (geared more towards music stores and websites) where a playlist is automatically generated and reordered based on how many plays a track is getting? This would make the most popular tracks at the top. And it would be even better if this information can be integrated from various other playlists on the same website eg from the ‘dubstep playlist’, from the ‘UK playlist’ to create a general ‘most played’ playlist on the homepage?
Thanks very much and keep up the great work!
Massimo
Massimo, this is an awesome idea. I’ll look into it.
That’s excellent Greg, looking forward to any developments!
