Non-Profit Account Setup

If you are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and you would like to use Topspin, we have special rates and a process to get everything set up properly. The first thing you'll want to do is create an account using the normal signup process. For legal reasons, revenue must be deposited directly in the non-profit's bank account.  A payment form is requested in the account creation steps below.

  1. Log into the account you created and file a Help ticket letting us know you would like to have your account flagged as a registered non-profit. Someone from our support team will get back to you, but you should be prepared with the materials laid out in the following steps.
  2. Two members of the non-profit's Board of Directors must sign the non-profit rider, which you'll find attached to this knowledge base article. Support will ask you for this when they reply to your help ticket.
  3. You must set up the offer buttons as "Donations" (not "Buy Now" buttons, for example) at different price points, with the donor receiving a gift of the compilation CD or other product being offered as a gift for making a donation. The products cannot be "sold," but rather given as gift for a donation.
  4. If an entity other than the non-profit will be running the Topspin tools for the non-profit, the non-profit can authorize that entity to accept the click-through on the non-profit's behalf. The non-profit rider, like the click-through, is between Topspin and the non-profit, and the account is still in the non-profit's name. The entity running the tools is an authorized user of the account on behalf of the non-profit.
  5. If you require a setup that differs from what's described above please just let us know and we'll be happy to figure out a way that works for you!
